With the name "The Way of Florence," this Chianti sure fits the bill as a honest-to-goodness Chianti without having to bear a hole in your wallet. Came from an unknown origin, it possesses a ruby red color with glints of sunset orange when held against the light.

Like most Chiantis, the nose is filled with aromas of black cherries and light spice, although on the shy side. The palate, however, is more open with bright tart cherry fruit and crisp acidity. The middle has a touch of tannic astringency, which goes down to the finish.

The bottle typically with tomato sauce and red meat, just like any Chianti. This one, however, can also go with meatless salads, as well as mozzarella for those into wine and cheese. Costs US$7.99.
